Membership Terms

Last updated: 07 October 2026

1. Scope and Relationship to Terms of Use

These Membership Terms govern access to and use of the ZeitPass User Portal and all associated membership services. They form a separate agreement between you and ZeitPass UG (haftungsbeschränkt) and apply in addition to the ZeitPass Terms of Use available at zeitpass.com/terms, which continue to apply.

In the event of any conflict between these Membership Terms and the Terms of Use, these Membership Terms take precedence with respect to your membership and use of the User Portal.

The Severability, Force Majeure, Assignment, Entire Agreement, Notices, and Governing Law and Jurisdiction provisions of the Terms of Use apply equally to your membership and these Membership Terms.

2. Eligibility

The ZeitPass User Portal is available exclusively to individuals who are aged 18 or over and are resident in Germany. By registering for a membership, you confirm that you meet these requirements. ZeitPass reserves the right to verify eligibility and to suspend or terminate any account where eligibility cannot be confirmed.

3. Account Registration and Security

To access the User Portal, you must register an account by providing your name, email address, and any other information requested during the sign-up process. You are responsible for ensuring that all information you provide is accurate and kept up to date.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for activity that occurs under your account. You must notify ZeitPass immediately at contact@zeitpass.com if you become aware of any unauthorised use of your account. To the extent permitted by law, ZeitPass is not liable for loss or damage arising from your failure to protect your account credentials.

Accounts are personal and non-transferable. You may not share your account credentials with any third party.

4. Our Role

ZeitPass is a platform that curates experiences in Munich and arranges bookings for its members. ZeitPass is not an event provider or organiser. ZeitPass does not own, operate, organise or control any experience or venue. Experiences are provided by independent venues and providers (“vendors”).

When you request a booking, you authorise ZeitPass to make the booking with the vendor in your name and on your behalf, and to arrange payment to the vendor using your credits. When a booking is confirmed, a contract for the experience is formed between you (and any guests) and the vendor, on the vendor’s terms. ZeitPass is not a party to that contract.

ZeitPass does not:

  • Guarantee the availability of any experience at any given time.

  • Guarantee that a recommended experience will meet your personal expectations.

  • Assess whether an experience is suitable for you individually.

Anything you order or buy at the venue itself is a matter between you and the vendor.

5. Membership Plans

ZeitPass offers membership plans that provide access to the User Portal and its associated services, including personalised event curation, booking arrangement, and member communications. The available plans, their monthly credits, features and prices are published at zeitpass.com/plans-and-pricing and are shown to you before you pay. All prices are stated in euros and include applicable VAT.

There is no minimum membership term. You may cancel at any time in accordance with Section 8. To change your plan, email contact@zeitpass.com.

6. Credits

  • Each plan includes a number of credits per month. Each experience costs a number of credits per person, depending on the tier shown on the experience.

  • Plans that include guest bookings let you bring guests (see Section 10.4). Each guest uses the same credits as you.

  • When you send a booking request, the credits for it are held. They are used when ZeitPass confirms the booking. If the booking cannot be made, or is cancelled in line with Section 10.2, the credits are returned to you.

  • Credits can only be used for experiences that take place in the period for which they are valid, as shown in your account and in your checkout summary. Unused credits expire at the end of that period and do not carry over.

  • Credits have no cash value, cannot be transferred, and cannot be exchanged for money, except as set out in these Membership Terms.

  • If your membership ends, you cannot use credits for months you have not paid for. Bookings for those months are cancelled.

7. Billing and Payment

7.1 Payment Method

Membership fees are charged through a payment service provider, using the payment method you choose. ZeitPass does not store your payment card details.

7.2 Renewal on the 26th

Your membership renews automatically on the 26th of each month. The renewal payment provides the credits for the following calendar month.

7.3 Your First Months

What you pay, which credits you receive, and when you are next charged depend on the day you join. Your checkout summary shows the exact amount, credits, validity and next charge date before you pay.

  • If you join between the 1st and the 10th of a month, you pay the monthly fee when you join. Your credits are valid until the end of that month. Your first renewal is on the 26th of that month.

  • If you join between the 11th and the 25th of a month, you pay the monthly fee when you join, and again on the 26th of that month. Your first credits are valid until the end of the following month, provided your membership renews on the 26th.

  • If you join on or after the 26th of a month, you pay one monthly fee when you join. Your credits are valid until the end of the following month. Your first renewal is on the 26th of the following month.

7.4 Failed Payments

If a renewal payment fails, we will notify you, and the payment may be retried. Please update your payment details by the 30th of that month. Until then, your existing bookings stay in place. If the payment is not resolved by then, your bookings for the following month may be cancelled, and booking may be suspended until payment is processed.

7.5 Experience Costs

Your credits cover the price of the experience as shown in the portal. ZeitPass does not charge you separately for the experience, except for fees described in Section 10.3.

8. Cancelling Your Membership

You may cancel your membership at any time in your account settings, or using the cancellation button in the User Portal. To avoid the next renewal charge, cancel by the 25th of the month.

Cancellation stops future renewals. Credits you have already paid for stay usable until they expire. Fees already paid are non-refundable, except as set out in Section 9 (withdrawal) and Section 12 (termination by ZeitPass). Bookings for a period you have not paid for are cancelled.

Example: if you cancel on 20 July, no charge is made on 26 July. Your July credits remain valid until 31 July. Bookings for August are cancelled.

9. Right of Withdrawal

9.1 Statutory Right of Withdrawal

As a consumer, you have the right to withdraw from this contract within 14 days of conclusion without giving any reason, in accordance with § 355 BGB. The withdrawal period begins on the day the contract is concluded.

To exercise the right of withdrawal, you must inform ZeitPass of your decision by means of an unambiguous statement (for example, a letter sent by post or an email) to:

ZeitPass UG (haftungsbeschränkt)

Südliche Münchner Str. 62, 82031 Grünwald, Germany

HRB 312002, Amtsgericht München

Email: contact@zeitpass.com

You may use the model withdrawal form set out in the Annex to these Membership Terms, though this is not mandatory. To meet the withdrawal deadline, it is sufficient for you to send your communication before the withdrawal period has expired. The consequences of withdrawal, including reimbursement, are set out in Section 9.2.

9.2 Immediate Start and Consequences of Withdrawal

The ZeitPass User Portal is a digital service, and membership access is granted immediately upon completion of sign-up and payment. Because of this, at the point of subscribing you are asked to confirm, by way of a separate checkbox, that you request ZeitPass to begin providing membership services immediately, rather than waiting until the withdrawal period has ended.

If you withdraw within the 14-day withdrawal period and no booking has been confirmed for you, ZeitPass will reimburse all payments received from you in full. Any pending booking request is cancelled, and credits held for it are not charged.

If you withdraw within the 14-day withdrawal period after one or more bookings have been confirmed for you, in accordance with § 357 Abs. 8 BGB, you owe ZeitPass an amount proportionate to the services provided up to the point you withdraw. This amount is the number of credits used for confirmed bookings, multiplied by the value of one credit. The value of one credit is the monthly fee of your plan divided by the number of credits included in the plan per month. ZeitPass will deduct this amount from your reimbursement and refund the balance.

Example: your monthly fee is 39 EUR for 3 credits, so one credit is worth 13 EUR. You book an experience that costs 2 credits, then withdraw. You owe 26 EUR, and ZeitPass refunds the balance of your payment.

ZeitPass will make any refund without undue delay and no later than 14 days from the day ZeitPass receives your withdrawal notice, using the same payment method you used for the original transaction.

This does not affect your separate right to cancel your membership at any time under Section 8, which operates independently of the statutory withdrawal right described in this Section 9.

10. Bookings

10.1 Booking Process

When you request a booking through the User Portal, ZeitPass contacts the vendor on your behalf. A booking is confirmed only when ZeitPass notifies you of confirmation in writing. A booking request is not a confirmed booking.

We aim to confirm bookings within 2 hours on working days. Working days are Monday to Friday, 08:00 to 18:00, excluding public holidays in Bavaria. For requests received outside these hours, we aim to confirm by 10:00 on the next working day. These are targets, not guarantees. If we cannot make the booking, the credits held for it are returned to you.

To arrange a booking, ZeitPass shares limited details with the vendor, namely the name of the member, the name of any guest, and a ZeitPass contact email address.

As set out in Section 4, the contract for the experience is between you and the vendor. Subject to Section 14, ZeitPass is not responsible for:

  • A vendor’s failure to deliver a confirmed experience.

  • Cancellation of a booking by the vendor.

  • The quality, safety, or suitability of any experience provided by a vendor.

  • Any loss or damage arising from your participation in a vendor’s experience.

Where a vendor cancels a confirmed booking, ZeitPass will return the credits used and make reasonable efforts to offer an alternative. ZeitPass does not guarantee that an alternative of equivalent quality or timing will be available.

10.2 Cancelling a Booking

If your booking is still a request (not yet confirmed by ZeitPass), you may cancel it at any time. The credits are released immediately.

If your booking has been confirmed, cancelling submits a cancellation request. ZeitPass will approve it where the cancellation terms shown on the experience page allow it, and will notify you of the outcome. If the request is approved, the credits are returned to you. If the cancellation deadline has passed, the credits stay used.

10.3 No-Shows

If you fail to attend a confirmed booking without cancelling in time, the credits are used and are not returned.

Where a vendor charges a no-show or cancellation fee, ZeitPass may pass that fee on to you. ZeitPass will tell you the amount before charging it, and you may query or dispute the charge with ZeitPass before it is processed. You may show that no loss, or a lower loss, occurred.

10.4 Guests

If your plan includes guest bookings, you may bring guests to an experience. Each guest uses the same credits as you. The portal shows the number of guests allowed for each experience. You give us each guest’s name when you book. Guests must meet the age and other requirements set by the vendor. You are responsible for your guests’ conduct, and for letting them know that we share their name with the vendor.

11. User Conduct in the Portal

When using the User Portal, you agree that you will not:

  • Submit false or misleading information in your profile, preferences, or booking requests.

  • Make booking requests with no genuine intention to attend.

  • Attempt to circumvent credit limits or access controls.

  • Use the portal in any manner that could damage ZeitPass’s relationship with its vendor partners.

  • Attempt to contact vendors directly to bypass the ZeitPass booking process.

  • Attend, or allow another person to attend, a booked experience in your place, other than through the guest feature available on eligible plans.

12. Suspension and Termination by ZeitPass

ZeitPass may end your membership without giving a reason by giving you at least 30 days’ notice by email. In that case, ZeitPass will refund the part of the fee that relates to credits you have not used, calculated using the value of one credit as set out in Section 9.2.

ZeitPass may suspend or terminate a membership with immediate effect where there is good cause, in particular if:

  • You are in material breach of these Membership Terms or the Terms of Use.

  • You provide false information during sign-up or in your account profile.

  • Your conduct causes or risks causing damage to ZeitPass, its vendor partners, or other members.

  • A renewal payment fails and is not resolved by the 30th of the month in which it failed.

Where ZeitPass terminates a membership, ZeitPass will refund the part of the fee that relates to credits you have not used, calculated using the value of one credit as set out in Section 9.2. Where ZeitPass terminates because of your breach, ZeitPass may deduct any damage caused by the breach. Where ZeitPass terminates a membership for breach, ZeitPass may refuse any future registration or membership application from the same individual.

13. Account Deletion

You may request full deletion of your account and your personal data at any time through the Account tab in the User Portal, or by contacting ZeitPass at contact@zeitpass.com. Account deletion is separate from cancelling your membership under Section 8.

Submitting a deletion request immediately cancels any active membership subscription. You will not be charged again, and your access to booking ends at that point. Your account and personal data will be deleted without undue delay and within one month of your request, subject to the retention described below and in the ZeitPass Privacy Policy.

Certain data is retained beyond account deletion where required by law. Your directly identifying account data (name, phone number, email address) is permanently deleted. Your booking and billing records are retained for 8 years after the end of the calendar year in which the record was created, in a form that no longer directly identifies you where possible, linked to your account only by an internal reference, in order to meet ZeitPass’s record-keeping obligations under German commercial and tax law (§ 257 HGB, § 147 AO). This data is held securely and is not used for any other purpose. Full detail is set out in the ZeitPass Privacy Policy.

14. Our Responsibility

ZeitPass provides its own services, namely curation, arranging bookings, and administering credits, with due care. ZeitPass is liable without limit for intent and gross negligence, for injury to life, body or health, under the Product Liability Act, and under any guarantee it expressly gives.

For ordinary negligence, ZeitPass is liable only for breach of a cardinal obligation (a duty essential to enabling the proper performance of your membership), and then only for foreseeable damage typical for a service of this kind. Otherwise, liability for ordinary negligence is excluded.

Section 4 and Section 10.1 describe what ZeitPass is not responsible for. Section 7 of the Terms of Use also applies to your membership. If there is a conflict, this Section 14 applies.

15. Changes to These Membership Terms

15.1 Changes That Need No Acceptance

Changes that are purely editorial, that are required by law or by a court or authority, or that only benefit you take effect 30 days after we inform you by email, or earlier where the law requires.

15.2 Other Changes

For any other change, including changes to prices, plans, credits or cancellation rules, we will inform you by email at least 30 days before the intended effective date. The change applies to you only once you have accepted it, for example by confirming it when you next log in or before your next booking. If you do not accept, the previous terms continue to apply until the end of the period you have paid for. After that, you cannot book under the new terms. You may cancel as set out in Section 8.

The current version of these Membership Terms is always available at zeitpass.com/membership-terms.

16. Dispute Resolution

The European Commission’s online dispute resolution platform has been discontinued. ZeitPass is neither obliged nor willing to take part in dispute resolution proceedings before a consumer arbitration board. If you have a complaint, please write to contact@zeitpass.com, and we will work to resolve it with you.
